Live your best life …

‘ When I Loved Myself Enough’, is the title of a little book of quotes by Kim Mc Millan, similar to a thought for the day.

I opened Kim’s book at random today and this thought presented itself.

When I loved myself enough

I recognised my courage and fear,

My naivety and wisdom, and

I made a place for each at my table.

The notion of welcoming every part of ourselves, including the parts we might not like very much, is the mark of a person at peace with him/ herself.

The relationship with yourself (or should I say, with the many parts of you) is an endeavour of the upmost importance and something that has to be worked on just like any other relationship in your life.

So, acknowledge and appreciate the parts of yourself that you are most at ease with and then give those ‘yucky bits’ a hearing .

Be kind to yourself.
